Collectively, the countries of Argentina and Chile produce roughly 23 million Hectoliters of wine per year. The winemaking history is over 500 years old and is deeply rooted in the complex history of colonization and class divides across South America. And yet, our exposure to the wines of these countries is generally limited to bulk wines sold at low prices or ultra refined wines produced at a level of international luxury. Absent from the conversation are independent producers who are producing terroir driven, artisanal wines. Join Accent Store Manager and Sommelier Sam McClain for an exploration of the dynamic winemakers redefining the expectation of these exceptional wine regions.
Class is structured to last 100 minutes. A flight of eight wines will be served alongside a robust charcuterie board. Wines from the Class will be available for purchase following the class.
