The Tercic family farms right on the Slovenian border in San Floriano del Collio—so close that the family speaks both Italian and Slovenian at home. Ana Tercic's great-grandfather Alojz first planted vines here, but it was her father Matijaž who founded the estate officially in 1993, shifting the family from selling grapes to bigger regional names into making their own wine. Ana studied oenology and returned in 2020 to work alongside him.

Their 10 hectares sit on Ponca soil—a marl and sandstone mix that gives structure and minerality to everything they grow, just 20 km from the Adriatic and 30 km from the Alps. This Friulano is farmed organically and worked entirely by hand, showing real depth and complexity for the variety—genuinely one of the best expressions of Friulano we've tasted.

Pair it with prosciutto, seafood risotto, or soft cheeses.
