Michele Braganti farms some of the highest-elevation vineyards in Chianti Classico, up in the hills of Radda where nights stay cool and Sangiovese develops this beautiful tension between ripeness and acidity. The family has been here since the 1970s, farming organically and making wines that feel classical but never rustic.
This is Sangiovese as it should be: bright red cherry, dried herbs, crushed stone, and this wonderful savory quality that makes you think of Tuscan hillsides. The tannins are fine-grained, the acidity is mouthwatering, and there's an elegance here that speaks to careful farming and thoughtful winemaking. It's aged in large Slavonian oak to preserve the fruit's purity.
Pair it with bistecca fiorentina, wild boar ragu, or aged pecorino. This is why Chianti Classico matters.
