John Duval was Penfolds' chief winemaker for nearly 30 years, making some of Australia's most iconic wines (including Grange) before starting his own label in the Barossa. Plexus is his GSM blend—Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre—showing what these Rhône varieties can do in Barossa's ancient soils.
This is powerful Australian red done right: ripe blackberry, plum, and dark chocolate with dried herbs, cracked pepper, and this wonderful earthy complexity. It's got the concentration you'd expect from Barossa but stays balanced and food-friendly. The blend is classic Southern Rhône in structure but distinctly Barossa in personality.
Pair it with grilled lamb, barbecue, or aged cheddar. This is world-class GSM from one of Australia's masters.
