The Manciat family has been making wine in Charnay-lès-Mâcon since 1952, farming some of the Mâconnais's best sites for Chardonnay. Jean Manciat's wines show what this often-overlooked region can produce when farmed carefully and vinified with precision—wines that balance richness with minerality and freshness.
This village Mâcon shows pure Chardonnay character: white flowers, citrus, and stone fruit over this chalky mineral backbone. It's got texture and depth from lees aging but stays vibrant and refreshing. This is Burgundian Chardonnay at a fraction of the price of Côte d'Or wines.
Pair it with roasted chicken, grilled fish, or goat cheese. This is why the Mâconnais deserves more attention.
