The Bourdy family has been making wine in the Jura since 1475—yes, you read that right. This is one of the region's oldest and most traditional estates, making wines that are classic, age-worthy, and utterly unique. Their Côtes du Jura Rouge is primarily Trousseau and Poulsard, the region's indigenous red varieties.

This is Jura red in all its glory: cranberry, mushroom, forest floor, and this wonderful earthy complexity. The wine is lighter in color (Poulsard is naturally pale) but has incredible aromatics and this savory, umami-rich quality that makes it insanely food-friendly. It's aged in old oak to add complexity without overwhelming the delicate fruit.

Pair it with coq au vin, hard mountain cheeses, or mushroom dishes. This is why the Jura is special.
