Cristom is one of the Willamette Valley's pioneering estates, planting their Eola-Amity Hills vineyards in the late 1980s when Oregon was still figuring out what it could do with Burgundian varieties. Today, they're making some of the state's most compelling Chardonnay—wines that balance richness with energy and show real terroir.
This estate Chardonnay comes from their biodynamically-farmed vineyards on volcanic soils, giving the wine this incredible mineral backbone. Expect white peach, citrus blossom, and hazelnut with bright acidity and this beautiful stony quality. It's aged in French oak (mostly neutral) to add complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
Pair it with roasted chicken, creamy risotto, or Dungeness crab. This is Oregon Chardonnay at its finest.
