Chateau Carbonnieux Rouge 2015

Carbonnieux is one of Pessac-Léognan's historic estates, dating back to the 13th century when Benedictine monks first planted vines here. Today, the Perrin family runs this Grand Cru Classé property, making both exceptional whites and reds from gravelly soils that define Pessac-Léognan's terroir.
The 2015 vintage was a warm, generous year in Bordeaux, producing wines with ripe fruit and velvety tannins. This rouge shows blackberry, plum, and cedar with hints of graphite and tobacco. The Merlot softens the Cabernet's structure, creating a wine that's approachable now but will continue to evolve for another decade.
Decant it and pair with duck breast, grilled lamb, or aged Comté. This is classic Graves rouge.
