John Paul founded Cameron in the Dundee Hills in 1984, and he's remained one of Oregon's most idiosyncratic and respected winemakers ever since—trained in Burgundy, obsessive about clonal selection and old-vine material, and unafraid to work with whole clusters and minimal intervention. Clos Electrique is one of his estate parcels, farmed with the same rigor as everything else Cameron makes.

This shows Cameron's house style: savory, structured, and less about upfront fruit than about tension and complexity. Expect red and black cherry, dried herbs, and an earthy, slightly wild edge, with firm tannins and real length. This isn't a Pinot for immediate gratification—it rewards a little patience, whether in the glass or the cellar.

Pair it with duck, mushroom dishes, or aged Gruyère.
