Anne Gros is Burgundy royalty, farming some of the Côte d'Or's most precious parcels in Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny. Her Chambolle comes from Le Combe d'Orveau, a lieu-dit just below the Premier Cru vineyards, where limestone soils give Pinot Noir this incredible aromatic lift and finesse.
This is textbook Chambolle: silky, perfumed, elegant. Think red cherry, violet, and rose petals over this beautiful chalky minerality. The tannins are incredibly fine, the texture is almost weightless, and there's this haunting aromatics that only comes from great terroir. Anne's minimal-intervention approach lets the vineyard speak clearly.
Drink it with duck breast, wild mushrooms, or just on its own while contemplating what makes Chambolle special.
