The Amoreau family has farmed Château le Puy since the 1600s and claims never to have used a single chemical input in that entire history—organic and biodynamic before either was a category. Their estate sits on a limestone plateau in the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, and their wines are made with minimal intervention: native yeasts, no fining, no filtration, gravity-fed cellar work.

Émilien is one of their estate cuvées, showing the Amoreau house style: ripe but structured fruit, real minerality from that limestone base, and a sense of purity that comes from generations of never fighting the land. Expect dark berry fruit, herbs, and a savory, earthy backbone.

Pair it with roasted lamb, mushroom dishes, or aged cheese.

Region: Côtes de Bordeaux (Francs), France
Farming: Biodynamic (never chemically farmed)
Winemaking: Native yeast, minimal intervention

Explicitly delicious.
