Dominique Roger "Domaine du Carrou" Sancerre Rose 2024

Sancerre rosé doesn't get nearly the love it deserves, probably because everyone's so focused on the region's electric Sauvignon Blanc. But Dominique Roger knows what he's doing with Pinot Noir in these Kimmeridgian limestone soils. His family has been farming around Bué—one of Sancerre's best villages—for generations, working organically across vineyards that look out over the Loire Valley.
This rosé is what happens when you take Sancerre's trademark minerality and channel it through Pinot Noir: delicate wild strawberry and white pepper over this chalky, saline backbone that screams terroir. It's bone dry, refreshing as hell, and has this nervous energy that makes it hard to put down.
Drink it cold with grilled salmon, goat cheese salad, or just on its own while you contemplate why more people aren't drinking Sancerre rosé.
