Cascina Baricchi "Rose delle Casasse" Barbaresco Riserva 2018

Cascina Baricchi is a small family estate in Treiso, one of Barbaresco's four main communes, where the Rocca family farms organically and makes traditional Nebbiolo. Their Riserva sees extended aging before release—five years minimum—allowing the wine to soften and develop complexity.
The 2018 vintage was excellent in Piedmont, and this Riserva shows it beautifully: rose petals, red cherry, tar, and forest floor with silky tannins and that signature Nebbiolo acidity. The extended aging has integrated the tannins beautifully while the wine retains freshness and energy. It's drinking in a perfect window now but will continue to evolve for another decade.
Pair it with tajarin pasta with white truffles, brasato, or aged Parmigiano. This is classic Barbaresco.
