Sattlerhof "Ried Kranachberg" Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Willi Sattler is one of Austria's Sauvignon Blanc masters, farming steep hillside vineyards in Südsteiermark (southern Styria) where the grape achieves incredible precision and minerality. Kranachberg is one of his Grand Cru sites—recently awarded Erste Lage status in Austria's new classification system—where volcanic soils give the wine this incredible stony backbone.

This is Sauvignon Blanc with serious intent: citrus, white flowers, and passion fruit over this profound mineral core. It's got the intensity and concentration of great Sancerre but with its own distinct personality. The 2019 has aged beautifully, developing complexity while retaining freshness.

Pair it with goat cheese, asparagus, or grilled fish. This is world-class Sauvignon Blanc.
