Domaine Vacheron traces back to 1898, when Maurice Vacheron began tending a few vines in the town of Sancerre. Four generations later, cousins Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique Vacheron run the estate together, having converted the entire 46-hectare property to biodynamic farming (Biodyvin-certified since 2005) and taken a distinctly Burgundian approach to single-vineyard bottling in an appellation that historically treated Sancerre as one broad style. Paradis is one of their prized lieu-dit sites.
Expect the precision Vacheron is known for: citrus, wildflowers, and stone fruit over a chalky, flinty mineral core. Hand-harvested and farmed without any synthetic inputs, this shows real vertical structure and the kind of tension that makes top Vacheron bottlings genuinely age-worthy rather than simply refreshing.
