Justin Girardin represents the new generation of Burgundy—young winemakers taking over family estates and making wines with precision and purity. Les Peuillets is one of Savigny-lès-Beaune's best Premier Cru vineyards, known for producing Pinot Noir with both elegance and structure.
This shows classic Savigny character: red cherry, raspberry, and forest floor with this beautiful stony minerality and fine-grained tannins. It's got the weight and depth of Premier Cru fruit but retains that nervous energy that makes great Burgundy so compelling. Aged in French oak (moderate new wood) to add complexity without overwhelming the terroir.
Drink it with duck breast, coq au vin, or mushroom dishes. This is village Burgundy done right.
