Sauvignon Gris, the most obscure mutation of the more well known Sauvignon Blanc. Quite literally the pink one, it is a slightly pink berried variety with a much more subtle characteristics we have come to know from the family. Thought to originate as a mutation in Bordeaux its found its home in the motherland of the Loire Valley.
Grown in the gravelly loam and limestone soils of Paicines in San Benito County. Gently pressed and naturally fermented in a combination of stainless steel and neutral barrels. The aromatics are delightfully different than the traditional green notes of Sauvignon Blanc- ranging from orange blossom, white peach and lime, subtle herbal nuances of tarragon and lemongrass with a graceful palate and tart acidity. 12.8% ABV.
