The story of Viña Apaltagua began in 1995, when the successful American businessman Edward Tutunjian was on vacation in Chile, and fell in love with both the country and its surprising wines. It was at that moment that he decided to invest in Chile, and acquired his first vineyard in the prestigious Curicó Valley. Later, he acquired more vineyards in Maule, Apart, San Antonio and Maipo valleys.
Envero is 100% estate produced from the Ticao Vineyard in Curicó Valley. This is classic Carmenere, medium bodied and fruit forward, with a sweet kiss of oak and a savory mocha finish. This is an absolutely perfect wine for BBQ ribs or a smoked brisket.
