Let's start by saying this. The 2016 Serraboella is just delightful. Serraboella is one of those under the radar but you don't know why sort of vineyards in Barbaresco, capable of producing wines of such precision and structure that they should be in the same conversation as Montestefano or Paje. That might make you think that this Barbaresco would need more than an decade before it was ready to drink, but that's the thing that makes Paitin's wines so wonderful. They have the structure to age for as long as you want, but they are also open knit and inviting to drink young. Enjoy a glass with your next risotto...or maybe 2.
