Lapostolle was founded in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle, great-granddaughter of the creator of Grand Marnier. Taken by the beauty and unique terror of Chile, she invested heavily into the new venture and today is one of top producers in the country. The "Cuvée Alexandre" Carménère is an outstanding example of what is possible with this varietal that originally came from Bordeaux but was thought to be extinct until recently. The flavors are dark and smoky and perfect with grilled meats and barbecue. Today's exceptional wines are being crafted by Andrea León who is a trailblazing winemaker in Chile.
