Cathy is today one of the most respected winemakers in America, and not just because she is an incredibly successful woman in a male-dominated industry. But it certainly did not start out that way. Cathy has been fighting all the way at every step for the recognition she deserves. We hope you will join us in celebrating just a wonderful person who deserves her spot at the top of the podium. We encourage you to enjoy a bottle of her elegantly styled Cabernet as you read this article from Seven Fifty Daily. Even if you decide that her Cabernet is not your style, you should still read this article, rather than any paltry summary we could make of it.
The Kronos Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is Cathy's crowning achievement. The vineyard somehow survived the scourge of phylloxera that hit Napa in the 1980's and so now has some of the oldest vines on the valley floor. The vines produce very low yields with lower alcohol levels (the 2017 is 13.9%), which results in a wine that is full of flavor but incredibly elegant at the same time.
