Hourtin-Ducasse is a small, family-owned property located in the village of St. Sauvers on the left bank. Their estate is biodynamic (no small fete in the wet Bordelais climate) and they focus on making traditional, age-worthy wines based on Merlot. The 2016 is exceptional, with a lush mid palate of red and black berries and a refined cocoa-like dry finish. This is the perfect Bordeaux for a beautiful grilled porterhouse.
